Speed Dating: One-One-One
Meeting Opportunities
An overwhelming number of companies
participated in this year's One-On-One Meetings, held over three
days of the Convention. These pre-scheduled 10-minute meetings allow
participants to discover new business contacts and get focused time with
current trading partners. Many have called these sessions the most
efficient and productive meetings of the Convention. |

Welcome Reception
Rhino Entertainment helped to kick this party off
right with a cocktail and a chance to catch up with friends and

reconnect with their customers. Participants included Best Buy, Dimple

Scholarship Foundation 40th
Anniversary Cocktail Party
Sponsored by Sony BMG Music
Entertainment and the Blu-ray Disc Association, this cocktail party
honored the Scholarship Foundation Class of 2006, as well as the donors
who have made the $5 million in financial assistance available to our
industry's youth for the past 40 years. Of the 28 members of the Class
of 2006, five were present to meet their donors and enjoy the
festivities. Held at Sunset Sam's Fish Camp aboard the U.S.S. Gaylord, a
60-foot sailboat in the hotel's atrium, the vibe was festive,
beachy — Jimmy Buffet-like. Bids for the Ninth Annual
Silent Auction were collected. Proceeds from the Auction will create a
scholarship for the Class of 2007. |
