  • Recycles more than 300,000 pounds of cardboard — enough to make 100,000 pizza boxes. If the hotel stacked its 500-pound cardboard bails on top of each other, the stack would be more than 4 times higher than the 39-story hotel.
  • Recycles more than 500,000 newspapers — enough wood pulp to save a small forest.
  • Recycles more than a half a million bottles and cans — saving enough money to power the lights in the hotel's 1498 rooms for a month.
  • Donates more than 50,000 pounds of food leftover to local nonprofits, equal to 30,000 servings.
  • Donates more than 100,000 pounds of used furnishings and toiletries (partials) to local nonprofits and shelters.
  • Uses fully compostable to-go containers and eating utensil in its 4th Street Deli sports bar. No Styrofoam or plastic.
  • Closing the loop with "Trashy Wines," the San Francisco Marriott serves premium wine in the View Lounge, which comes from vineyards that uses compost from our hotel.

The hotel is home to 5 on-site eateries:

  • Starbucks, open for breakfast and lunch
  • Bin 55, bar and lounge located on the lobby level provides a convenient spot for entertaining clients or simply relaxing
  • Garden Terrace, highlights California cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Also, venture outside the hotel for some San Francisco culture. San Francisco is a popular international tourist destination renowned for its steep rolling hills, an eclectic mix of Victorian and modern architecture, and famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, the cable cars, Coit Tower, and Chinatown. The city is also known for its diverse, cosmopolitan population. While the climate includes chilly summer fog, the winters are mild. Image
