Merchandiser and Supplier of the Year Winners
(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) - The National Association
of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) announced the winners of its
Merchandiser and Supplier of the Year Awards during the Association's
50th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Wednesday, May 7, at the San Francisco
Marriott.
NARM members nominated trading partners in the
various industry segments, and those companies with the most nominations
were named as finalists. The Retailer, Wholesaler, Distributor and
Entertainment Software Supplier of the Year Awards were given in the
small, medium and large categories, which were based on the NARM dues
structure. Finalists for the Related Suppliers Award were chosen from
all companies within this member category regardless of size. One award
was presented in this category.
Last year, the awards processes were
streamlined with a more equitable online voting process and concise
criteria specific to each member category. Judging panels were
eliminated and all NARM member companies were invited to vote for
trading partner finalist companies. In addition, the Small Retail
Category was divided into Division 1 and 2, with Division 1 encompassing
small retailers with gross sales volume under $1 million.
