RANDY JACKSON’S PAPER TONGUES
TO PERFORM AT LIVE SHOWCASE
04.21.10 — “American Idol” judge and renowned producer Randy Jackson will present his newest band, Paper Tongues, A&M/Octone Records, on Sunday, May 16 during a live showcase at Buddy Guy’s Legends. Doors open at 9:15 PM. The one-hour performance will begin at 9:45 PM.

04.20.10 — NARM will be holding our first-ever Continuing Legal Education conference on Monday, May 17, 2010, from 1:30-5:30 PM, during the 2010 NARM Convention as a separate event. Presented in conjunction with the Chicago Bar Association and Lawyers for the Creative Arts, we’ll discuss the music industry’s most pressing legal and policy issues. 04.14.10 — NARM announces that it will recognize iconic and inventive musical artist Cyndi Lauper with the Chairman’s Award for Sustained Creative Achievement. Celebrating her successful musical career, Lauper will receive this coveted honor at the NARM Annual Convention on Monday, May 17 in Chicago. Lauper’s musical talent has been attracting attention since 1985 when she won the Best New Artist Grammy for her debut album, “She’s So Unusual.” She became the first female artist in history to have five top-10 singles from a debut album, and over the years, she sold more than 25 million albums globally. Lauper has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, 2 Emmy Awards, 2 American Music Awards, 7 American Video Awards, and 18 MTV Video Music Awards.
