And Supplier Of The Year
Finalists
Announced
The National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) has
announced the finalists for its 2001 Merchandiser and Supplier Of The
Year Awards, which recognize outstanding industry achievement among
retailers, distributors, wholesalers, entertainment software suppliers,
and suppliers of related products and services. Winners will be
announced at the Awards Banquet on Tuesday, March 12, during the 2002
NARM Convention & Trade Show. The Convention, featuring the
Association for Independent Music (AFIM) is set to take place Friday,
March 8 through Tuesday,
March 12 at the
San Francisco Marriott in San Francisco, California.
NARM members nominated trading partners in the various industry
segments, and those companies with the most nominations were named as
finalists. Small, medium and large companies in each segment are
categorized based on membership dues. Trading partner companies will
judge the finalists, rating each finalist’s performance on established
criteria. The company with the highest score for each industry segment
and size category will be declared the winner. The list of 2001
finalists is attached.
NARM
serves the music retailing community in the areas of advocacy,
networking, information, education, and promotion. The Association’s
more than 1,000 members include retailers, wholesalers, distributors,
and suppliers of products and services.
