NARM President Horovitz To Receive Rock The Vote Founders
Award
Rock the Vote will honor Pamela Horovitz,
President of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers, with
its Founders' Award at Rock theVote's 9th Annual Patrick Lippert Awards
ceremony February 26 in Los Angeles.
"Fundamentally, Rock the Vote is about the power
of the individual to create political and social change," says Rock
the Vote Executive Director Mario Velásquez. "Pam Horovitz
embodies that vision. As the President of NARM, she has consistently
provided Rock the Vote with an invaluable forum to present our campaigns
and materials, securing partnerships that consistently provide Rock the
Vote with invaluable access to young people." Horovitz has served
on Rock The Vote¹s board of directors since it inception.
In 2001, NARM co-sponsored with Rhino Records a Rock
the Links charity
golf tournament whose proceeds benefited Rock the Vote. "I'm
delighted to be accepting an award which is an acknowledgement of the
commitment and support of so many NARM member retailers to Rock the
Vote," said NARM President Pamela Horovitz.
