NARM’s programs and services are guided by member workgroups to address areas of concern or guide staff activities that cross member categories. If you are interested in participating in one of the following workgroups, please contact the NARM staff member listed.

Digital Think Tank

Staff liaison: Bill Wilson, wilson@narm.com

This workgroup seeks to resolve operational data issues by creating an industry-wide, service-oriented architecture as well as common standards for communication of digital release information, sales data, and, eventually, asset delivery. Click here to learn more.

New Formats Committee

The New Formats Committee shares information among trading partners about new products and technologies and has hosted a series of industry summits to encourage dialogue and learning.

Scholarship Committee

Staff liaison: Pat Daly, daly@narm.com

With the guidance of an academic adviser, the Scholarship Committee reviews applications and selects winners of NARM scholarships. Members may be called upon to advise on other matters relating to the Scholarship Foundation, such as policy or by-laws changes.

Operations Committee

Staff liaison: Jim Hrobak, hrobak@narm.com

A joint standing committee of both NARM and the Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA), which services the video and game industry, the NARM/EMA Operations Committee addresses the common operational issues confronting the music, video and game supply chains. The Committee researches, develops, oversees, and promotes techniques, technologies and standards facilitating operational efficiencies.

Research Committee

The Research Committee serves as NARM’s review and advisory board for all NARM-commissioned research.
