NARM Scholarship Foundation
Awards Another Record 32 Scholarships

The National Association Of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) announced the names of the 32 recipients of this year’s scholarship awards at a gala dinner during the organization’s 43rd Annual Convention in Orlando on March 12.

Winners were selected from a field of more than 200 applicants. The NARM Scholarship Committee, with the assistance of Academic Advisor William G. Owen, judged all entries based on academic achievement, financial need and future potential.

Since the inception of the Foundation in 1966, NARM has awarded nearly 600 grants to deserving students. This represents a total of more than $5 million in financial assistance.

The NARM Scholarship Foundation affords industry companies or individuals the opportunity to provide the valuable benefit of educational financial assistance to NARM member company employees, or to the children or spouses of their employees. A contribution to the Foundation also permits donors to honor or memorialize a company executive, recording artist, industry colleague, relative or friend. A contribution of $6,000 creates a NARM Scholarship. A $20,000 contribution creates a Platinum Endowment Fund. All contributions to the NARM Scholarship Foundation are tax deductible within the limit of the law.

NARM congratulates the outstanding young people who are being recognized this year, as well as those whose generosity have made this worthy project possible for the past 35 years.
