NARM's Privacy Policy

 

 

Protecting the privacy of NARM's member companies, their employees, and other visitors to the NARM Website is important to us.  Please take a moment to read the following policy so that you will know and understand what information NARM collects and how it is used.  If you have any concerns or questions about the NARM policy, please contact Vincent Goffin at goffin@narm.com or at 856-596-2221.

 

The NARM website is primarily a business-to-business site operated for the benefit of our member companies.  Most of the site is accessible to members and non-members alike; however certain programs and services are password protected and entry authorization must be obtained from NARM.  Our site also contains links to other industry sites.  Our privacy policy pertains only to the practices of NARM and not to those of any our member companies or other organizations.

 

What We Collect    We principally ask for information about companies including the name of an employee contact for our records.  This allows us to process requests for information about NARM or our various programs and services accurately.  In cases where there is a charge for an event (like our annual convention) or program (like merchandising materials) we will also ask for billing or credit card information.  We use the collective information, along with IP addresses, to monitor traffic, diagnose problems, and otherwise administer our online services.

 

Member Information    We make a directory of our member companies available to other NARM members, however, we do not sell or trade our membership lists.  Occasionally we will allow a company offering a benefit program approved by NARM to make that program known to members via the list.  Similarly, we work with other industry trade associations in coordinating the dissemination of information about legislation or other important industry announcements to our members.  Financial information about a company or individual is used only by the NARM staff, or occasionally by the members of NARM's Board of Directors, and then only in conjunction with their fiduciary responsibility to the association's members.

 

Non-Member Information     Information collected about non-member companies (or individuals) is never sold, shared, or traded with anyone outside of NARM.  Occasionally we may send information about NARM or our programs and services to this list.

 

We take all reasonable steps to protect your privacy.  We encourage all our web site visitors to be careful whenever online and to be responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their own passwords and information.
