NARM Launches iPhone, Android App

Marlton, NJ – March 30, 2010 – NARM, the music business association, announces that it has launched its very first iPhone and Android application to serve as a year-round news aggregator for current happenings and research within the entertainment industry. NARM launches the app in time for the 2010 Convention and Music Business Crash Course as a way to provide users with up-to-date information about the two events, which are set to take place Friday, May 14, through Monday, May 17, at the Hilton Chicago.
The app, which is available as a free download for iPhone and Android smart phones, allows users to automatically link into the NARM daily news feed, enabling the viewing of Association, industry, and research news whenever and wherever the user chooses. Users may also tap into the latest Convention schedule, view bios and photos of Convention speakers and performers, flip through pictures and watch videos from past events, as well as register for both the Convention and Crash Course directly from their mobile devices.
“We’re delighted to provide this app as another way for NARM members and those interested in the Association to stay connected,” said NARM President Jim Donio. “As the Association continues to expand to include digital and mobile, this application will help NARM to reach new members through new communication avenues and is being launched at the perfect time to help members fully take advantage of the Association’s most important member benefit – the Annual Convention.”
The NARM application can be found at the iTunes App Store or by searching Android Market on your handset.
