NARM Welcomes Target’s Jake Langner As New Board Member
Marlton, NJ – June 3, 2010: NARM, the music business association, announces that Target’s Jake Langner is joining the NARM Board of Directors. He is Target’s Sr. Music Buyer responsible for P&L for all music related sales in Target stores, as well as managing the buying and analyst teams, negotiating exclusive deals, and maintaining executive vendor relations.
“The NARM staff and Board look forward to working with Jake and believe he will be a great asset to our group,” said NARM President Jim Donio. “Target has been a long-standing member of the Association and a strong voice on our Board. Jake will represent the company well.”
“I’m excited to continue Target’s strong support of NARM and contribute to the evolution of music in the retail environment,” said Langner.
Prior to his position within Target’s music department, Langner was the buyer for mobile, where he led the effort to introduce Bullseye Mobile Solutions, an outsourced contract mobile business staffed with experts offering an assortment of Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile handsets and plans.
Before Target, Langner led management consulting projects in a variety of industries for AT Kearney, Accenture and BearingPoint. He has worked extensively internationally in Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East.
