Rachelle Friedman Elected To Unprecedented 4th Term As Board Chair

Los Angeles, CA (May 11, 2011) – Rachelle Friedman, the CEO of J&R Music & Computer World, was elected to an unprecedented fourth term as Chair of the Board of NARM, the music business association. Friedman and her husband Joe will also be honored tomorrow with the “Independent Spirit Award” at the Awards Dinner Finale concluding the 53rd Annual NARM Convention at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. This year marks the 40th anniversary of J&R’s rise from a 500 square foot store into the largest single location home entertainment, electronics and computer megastore in the country, occupying more than 300,000 square feet of selling space.

“With her re-election at this Convention, Rachelle Friedman is the longest-running music business executive to have ever served on the NARM Board, at 15 total years and counting,” said Jim Donio, President of NARM. “Her leadership and her counsel over these many years has been invaluable to NARM.”
