NARM To Celebrate 40th Anniversary At San
Francisco Convention
Plans to celebrate NARM’s 40th Anniversary Convention
are underway as the Association prepares to return to its most popular
destination—San Francisco—from March 14 through 17.
Among the festivities proposed to commemorate this milestone
are recognizing past NARM officers and other members who have contributed to the
Association, creating a display of memorabilia and photos, and designing a gala banquet to
close the Convention.
The 1998 Convention Committee, comprised of a cross-section
of NARM’s membership, will use the ’97 Convention analysis to assist in planning
this premier industry event.
Attendees at the 1997 Convention agreed that NARM is “on
the right track for a good balance of business and pleasure.”Other considerations
include: showcasing more live music and sharing new release info, events for first-timers,
Trade Show traffic building, business and educational sessions, and marketing strategies.
