Convention '99

Following The Leaders: Chairman Goman Lists Priorities

These remarks were given by 1999-2000 Chairman Stan Goman, Tower Records, upon receiving the gavel from Rachelle Friedman on Wednesday, March 10 at the Convention's Awards Luncheon.

stan & rachelleplaque.jpeg (14987 bytes)Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Chairman. This will be an exciting year for all segments of our industry. My priorities this year will be:

1. An orderly launch of DVD-Audio. Tower's packaging preference is a package slightly taller than the CD jewel box.

2. Keeping the single alive at an affordable price that enables all of us to make a profit.

3. Completing the implementation of source tagging.

With the help of the strong Board NARM has provided me, we should have a great year.
