Here’s your chance to win a performance slot at the 2010 NARM Convention. Enter your act to present your music at the foremost music business Convention of the year, which includes and audience of influential music labels, distributors and retailers, who together account for an estimated 90% of the music sold in the U.S. marketplace. Many of the music industry’s superstars got a huge boost to their careers by performing on the NARM stage.

Rules

1. Contest is open to any artist or band, signed or unsigned.
2. Entry, which consists of completing the information and submitting a song or video clip via the form at this link, must be received by Midnight EST on Friday, February 12.
3. An expert panel will narrow down the entries to five (5) finalists.
4. NARM member retailers and wholesalers will select the winner via online voting.
5. Winner will be announced on or about March 15.

Prize

1. Winning act will receive a 10-minute, unplugged performance at the Opening Session of the 2010 NARM Convention on Sunday morning, May 16, at the Hilton Chicago.
2. Winning act will receive a free registration to the NARM Convention and Music Business Crash Course, which runs from Friday, May 14, through Monday, May 17.
3. Winning act (including band members only as needed) will receive accommodations for one night at the Hilton Chicago.
4. Winning act will be responsible for arranging own travel to and from the event and for additional night’s hotel accommodations as needed.

Important Note: As this is an unplugged performance, only six inputs will be provided. If accommodation for a full-band is desired, the act, their label or management are responsible for costs to upgrade production capabilities. Time for a sound check will be assigned to the winner.
