Scholarship Foundation Announces New Memorial Scholarship For Songwriter Kal Mann

The NARM Scholarship Foundation has established a memorial scholarship fund in memory of songwriter Kal Mann, who passed away on November 28 at his home in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Mann wrote the words to such songs as “South Street,” “Let’s Twist Again,” “Bristol Stomp,” and “Wah-Watusi,” and was an integral part of the dance crazes of the 50s and 60s that began in Philadelphia.  Those wishing to donate to the Kal Mann Memorial Scholarship should send contributions to the NARM office at 9 Eves Drive, Suite 120, Marlton, NJ 08053. Checks should be made payable to the NARM Scholarship Foundation and forwarded to the attention of Pat Daly, Executive Director of the Foundation.

In other news, the Foundation is continuing to solicit items for its Silent Auction at the NARM Convention in March. For further information, please visit the NARM Web site for a donor form or contact Pat Daly at the NARM office at daly@narm.com or 856.596.2221.
