Awards Descriptions

NARM Artist of the Year Award
One of the Association’s highest honors, this award recognizes extraordinary creative and commercial achievements.

NARM Chairman’s Award for Sustained Creative Achievement
This award is presented to a musical act (artist or group) that has sustained long-term creativity and success in the recording industry.

NARM Presidential Award for Sustained Executive Achievement
One of the Association’s highest honors, it is presented to a business executive who has contributed greatly to the overall success of our industry.

NARM Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award
The Award memorializes Chapin’s efforts on behalf of the environment and other humanitarian causes.

NARM Independent Spirit Award
This award was established to distinguish an industry leader who embodies the spirit of new thinking, entrepreneurship and success in his or her business, and recognize those who help grow and enhance the business of independent music for both commerce and content providers.

Outstanding Achievement Award Celebrating a Lifetime of Musical Collaboration
This award was established to recognize songwriters and musicians who have collaborated to significantly contribute to the heritage and songbook of American music.
